attempting to unify a creative social cohesion, an experiMENTAL zine of sorts. the moniker of the publication will be going under jive / beat. well, jive for the spoken word that one adheres to in a common social group. and beat, for the rhythmic dance of everyday life from the sound of footsteps, the song in our head, to the pulsating swells lapping on the shoreline.
jive / beat's aim is to unify a global expression in the art of wave sliding in a form that manifests itself through scribbles, pictures, design concepts, essays, philosophies, tales, mathematics, doodles, poems, prints, ect... encompassing all and any possible form that is representative to the contributor in their relation to the slide. the one requirement is that it is thoughtful and expressive.
there is no predetermined directional path for jive / beat.
