i found a camera in my hand in a round about way. growing up in new york where the winter months can get quite cold, carrying around a camera was a way to get my mind off the cold and get psyched on what was around me. trudging towards the surf on a freezing cold morning with a camera in tow soon became an integral part of the experience as it became a chase to get a great photo as well as a great wave.
after awhile without thought a camera just became a usual sidekick where ever i went. it became a new way to look at nature and my surroundings. a deep life long connection with the outdoors, it doesn't end up by chance that a natural setting is more often than not the subject of my photos. i view what's outside as the greatest show on earth and the fact that it unfolds right before our eyes is reason enough to snap away.
by no means a self proclaimed photographer, these photos are just special moments that i have been so privileged to be apart of and capture. the medium in which these moments are best transpired through is a photograph. if anything, they stand as a point of reference in a timeline of momentous events.
